Background    :
Shep came to us from a Shelter in California that took him off the streets as a dumped 4 week old puppy left on a sidewalk. he had to be bottle fed initially and gradually weaned onto good food. Shep is in foster care receiving much human and dog interactions for socilaization and training. see all of the videos posted here. Our Best guess as to his breeds is a Poodle Chihuahua mix bred as a designer dog, the fetch a pretty penny. Only a DNA test can confirm his breeds. he is approx 8 pounds and 9-10 weeks old as of December 27th

What Shep Needs:
Shep is a high-energy puppy who will benefit from doggie friend (s). He really needs a mentor dog to show him the way and to be his BFF. Shep also needs a loving person or persons who will dote on him. Shep is young and still in the window to begin working on his basic manners. He loves playing with his many toys and sleeping between bouts of activity. Shep is pee pad trained and needs more work on long-term potty training. Puppies pee a lot so indoor peepads are necessary during his training period. Shep is a very laid back easy puppy. he will do well with people who are adventurous and want to take him on long walks and woodland trails, car rides and park adventures. he loves having doggy playmates and he is young enough to introduce to cats.

Shep has been weaned onto a human-grade Canine diet that avoids kibble in place of a healthy canine-specific feeding regimen.
