Hello, My name is Joey.

I am a sweet pomeranian mix, 1 year old male dog who was found at a gas station where I took refuge from the heat and just lay in the shade under a sign for 3 days. I had no food but was given water.  A nice rescue took me in, in Bakersfield and after seeking my owner for 2 weeks with no leads, called RPR rather than relinquish me to a local Kill Shelter. Thank goodness, I may not have made it out of there.  I love to play with and hang out with other dogs. I like the big guys, as long as they will not eat me.  I love to follow my foster mom around the house and yard and chase balls with my foster doggie siblings.

Joey is the ultimate lap dog, He loves every human he meets. he waNTS TO GO EVERYWHERE HI PEOPLE GO. what a love bug, for all he has been through, he is a very loving, trusting soul.  if you want a dog completely devoted to you, come meet Joey. he would be perfect for retireers, some one who works from home or can take a dog to work with them.

 From the Foster

We are still getting to know this sweet boy. So far we can say he does well with other friendly small dogs, ignores the kids, does not bark but whines with excitement when his foster returns home, is completely housebroken, is healthy and easy going, laid back.

Joey has been neutered, microchipped,  is up to date on vaccines. negative on heartworm test, treated for parasites and fleas/ticks and is ready for his furever home.

The only thing we can say is that he needs a home with dog savvy people who will not raise their voices or yell at him, he does seem to have been yelled at and will cower if voices are raised. With this in mind we are thinking an adult only home will be best for this boy, or a family with children over 12 yrs.

Adoption:    If you think you have room in your home and heart for Joey, please go to our website:  http://rompinpawsrescue.rescuegroups.org/

There you will find more information and be able to fill out an adoption application.

Adoption Fees

Adoption fee is $550.00 this covers transport and adoption and medical such as certain vaccines, worming and parasite, and flea/tick control, health certificate and wellness exam

We bring dogs from up from California. so there are transportation costs for each dog. Then the dogs need to be spayed/neutered, vaccinated, groomed, and sometimes boarded if we can't place them in a foster, or set up at the adoption facility in Arlington,  Also, we don't receive any grants so we rely solely on adoption fees and donations to fund all of our rescue efforts. Finally, we take on "Special Needs" dogs with high vet costs and pay for their procedures with 'leftover' funds from adoption fees for healthier dogs.

About Rompin Paws Rescue

Rompin Paws Rescue is a licensed, non-profit organization working towards our 501C3, specializing in rescuing moms to be, moms with puppies, puppies without moms and other Death Row dogs. We are located in Western Washington State.

Our passion is to bring people and pets together.    Countless dogs are without homes and in need of assistance. These are dogs who would make wonderful and faithful companions if only they could connect with the right person or family. We have made it our mission to help them do this. At the same time we hope to enrich the lives of those who adopt them.

We strive to match our dog's needs and personality to the preferences and requirements of each potential adopter. We believe this is a crucial component of the process and will help ensure a life-long relationship.

Our primary focus is on small mixed breeds, moms and puppies of small and large breeds, although we do occasionally take in larger dogs. We work collaboratively with shelters, other rescue groups, and individuals, both locally and in California..

Healthy dogs: As a rescue saving dogs from starvation, Neglect and Emaciation, RPR focus's on feeding each rescue animal the healthiest dog food made of Human Grade ingredients to help them recover from their stress and starvation. We share this with our adopters and encourage them to keep their new pet on the same foods for optimal health and a long life.

RPR was established in April, 2015. we placed 400 dogs in our first year of operation in a small facility on Acreage in Arlington Washington.

We have a few local fosters and seek to increase our foster base in order to save more lives

Come Meet Our Pets...

We have a home based operation on Acreage in Arlington and    Our dogs are placed in foster homes around the greater Seattle/I-5 Corridor North to Arlington area where they receive socialization and training while they await adoption.

Our Adoption Process...

Since we have a small facility on gated acreage, we are unable to stay open to anyone who wishes to come visit. To facilitate successful adoptions we ask interested people and families to fill out an application for the dog or dogs they may be interested in. We screen the applications and then speak with the interested party by phone. If it looks like a good match can be made, we pre-approve the applicant and set an appointment for a meet and greet with the dogs at out facility or with the fosters who have the dogs in their care. we continue the interview in person and make sure the dog and family are a good fit.
