Shayla is a sweet tan and white, young Dachshund- Chihuahua mix girl. She is slightly shy, but warms up with trust. Shayla is still young, maybe 1.5 years old.  She is very sweet. she was abandoned pregnant and gave birth to a single puppy- Bucky,  Bucky looks like a mini momma but will likely grow larger than her. he is good sized for a young puppy. Buchy has the ears of the Dachshund and the short legs. He is a total lovebug, sweetie

Shayla adores her boy and he loves her. We want to see them stay together since this is her only puppy and they are so bonded.

Shayla is full of personality, super friendly and loving and Bucky has inherited these wonderful traits. he gets so excited when I come into the room and dances around my feet, making happy puppy noises. they both lay on the floor or the bed playing with one another while being petted and loved on.  Shayla greets me when I come back inside the rescue like I have been gone forever. She is very much a lap dog and cuddler, and still a puppy at heart.

These two will make an awesome pair for folks who appreciate friendly loving, lap sized dogs.

Shayla will be spayed But bucky is too young to neuter yet.

Mom and pup are on a Human Grade Diet, and we would like to see them stay on this diet for health and longevity.

Adoption fee is 850.00 , adoption and medical such as certain vaccines, worming, parasite, and flea/tick control, health certificate and wellness exam, microchip and any extra medical attention a dog may require such as dental, anal gland expression, emergency medical care.   Also, we don't receive any grants so we rely solely on adoption fees and donations to fund all of our rescue efforts. Finally, we take on "Special Needs" dogs with high vet costs and pay for their procedures with 'leftover' funds from adoption fees for healthier dogs.

Adopting a Dog   requires a lot of work and is a commitment!  -- will be an awesome addition to a family that can give him the attention, exercise, training and affection he deserves.

OUR REQUIREMENTS FOR PUPPY ADOPTION: 

1) These puppies are not livestock dogs. They must be family pets that are allowed inside the home.

2) PUPPIES WILL ONLY BE PLACED IN HOMES WITH YOUTHFUL, PLAYFUL, DOGS. This helps integrate the dog into your household easier by giving the pup a mentor.

3) In addition to the youthful playful dog, someone must also be home at least part of the day. Please do not apply for a puppy if you are gone 8-10 hours a day. It is not good situation for you or the puppy.

4) We give preference to applicants with prior small breed knowledge/ experiences.

5) Secure visible fencing required.

6) You must have plan in place to socialize your puppy properly.

7) Please do NOT write us and ask if this puppy is available. If it is posted, it is available. BUT, we may be working other applications that came in before yours. If so, by the time you are approved, the puppy may not be available. 

8) The FASTEST way to be considered for a puppy is to fill out an application. If you write, it will delay your application and put you to the back of the line. All the persons processing applications are volunteers that have their own dogs, families and job responsibilities. We do our best to get applications done quickly but applications for adult dogs come before puppy applications. There is always someone that will want to adopt a puppy.

Health:  --  has not yet been spayed, a medical addendum will be required to guarantee spaying by the adopter , she is microchipped, current on DHPP, Bordetella, and Rabies. He has been wormed and flea treated, tested negative for heartworm and Parvo

History:   --'s mom was pregnant in overcrowded shelter in California. Rompin Paws Rescue was asked to help and we are so glad we did. All dogs RPR pulls from California come with health certificates, as required by Washington state Law.

We bring dogs from up from California. so there are transportation costs for each dog. Then the dogs need to be spayed/neutered, vaccinated, groomed, and sometimes boarded if we can't place them in a foster, or set up at the adoption facility in Arlington, 

All Animals are current on Vaccinations, spayed or neutered if age appropriate, microchipped, dewormed, deflea if required, General wellness exams (with health certificates if brought in from out of state).
