DALLAS

Dallas is a sweet young male puppy of mixed breed, who is is 6 months old as of 8.30.17   Dallas is likely a mix of Staffordshire Terrier and Basset Hound. This boy is as sweet and loving as they come. He is an owner relinquish.  We are thrilled to have him with us to find his Furever family, that will never let him go, and can see what an awesome dog Dallas really is.

Dallas gets along with every dog in the rescue. due to his puppy age, he is a little rough on dogs under 15 pounds, so we recommend a like sized doggie companion for him.

Dallas is being trained to walk on a leash with a harness. He is housebroken, very sweet with other dogs, neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots, heartworm negative and has been treated for worms and parasites.  This boy has charm and personality plus.  One condition of adoption, is that Dallas must attend doggie training.   Not only will the adopters and Dallas benefit, it will be good for his intellect. Dallas is smart and will take well to training and excel.

Dallas will need a doggie buddy  to help guide him in life.  His former humans have a middle aged pittie and Dallas was raised by him. He does miss him and gets very excited when he sees larger dogs. He needs  Someone settled that can be with him as BFF and show him the ropes.

To apply to adopt Dallas,  Please have time to give him.  If you are gone 8 plus hours a day with no overlap with someone in the home, please do not apply.  Dallas needs a lot of time and attention to become the dog he is meant to be.  His ideal family would have one person working from home, or retired, or can take Dallas to work with them or a couple has overlapping schedules. Adopters will enroll him in behavioral training/education, and have a home with a good size yard for play and exercise, or be outdoor enthusiasts that can take this boy hiking and on long walks. and also have a second dog iin the home.

Adoption fee is $550.00 this covers transport and adoption and medical such as certain vaccines, worming and parasite, and flea/tick control, health certificate and wellness exam and neutering

Adoption:  If you think you have room in your home and heart for Dallas, please go to our website:  http://rompinpawsrescue.rescuegroups.org/

Healthy dogs:     As a rescue saving dogs from starvation, Neglect and Emaciation, RPR focus's on feeding each rescue animal the healthiest dog food made of Human Grade ingredients to help them recover from their stress and starvation. We share this with our adopters and encourage them to keep their new pet on the same foods for optimal health and a long life.

Adopting a Staffordshire Puppy requires a lot of work and is a commitment!  Scout will be an awesome addition to a family that can give him the attention, exercise, training and affection she deserves. But staffies require training in several levels of courses and need to obtain the canine good Citizen certificate for their own safety.

OUR REQUIREMENTS FOR PUPPY ADOPTION:

1) These puppies are not livestock dogs. They must be family pets that are kept inside the home.

2) PUPPIES WILL ONLY BE PLACED IN HOMES WITH YOUTHFUL, PLAYFUL, DOGS. This helps integrate the dog into your household easier by giving the pup a mentor. staffies need constant socializing to keep them friendly towards other dogs

3) In addition to the youthful playful dog, someone must also be home at least part of the day. Please do not apply for a puppy if you are gone 6-10 hours a day. It is not good situation for you or the puppy.

4) We give preference to applicants with prior Staffordshire Terrier breed knowledge/ experiences.

5) Secure visible fencing required.

6) You must have plan in place to socialize your puppy properly.  Staffordshires must be enrolled in obedience school. we will not release a staffie puppy for adoption without proof of enrollment

7) Please do NOT write us and ask if this puppy is available. If it is posted, it is available. BUT, we may be working other applications that came in before yours. If so, by the time you are approved, the puppy may not be available.

8) The FASTEST way to be considered for a puppy is to fill out an application. If you write, it will delay your application and put you to the back of the line. All the persons processing applications are volunteers that have their own dogs, families and job responsibilities. We do our best to get applications done quickly but applications for adult dogs come before puppy applications. There is always someone that will want to adopt a puppy.

Health:   Dallas   has  been neutered,  he is microchipped, current on DHPP, Bordetella, and Rabies. She has been wormed and flea treated.

History:   Dallas was rescued from a family that were going to take him to a high kill shelter where bully breeds are mostly killed. Rompin Paws Rescue was asked to help and we are so glad we did. All dogs RPR pulls from California come with health certificates, as required by Washington state Law.

There you will find more information and be able to fill out an adoption application.

We bring dogs from up from California. so there are transportation costs for each dog. Then the dogs need to be spayed/neutered, vaccinated, groomed, and sometimes boarded if we can't place them in a foster, or set up at the adoption facility in Arlington,  Also, we don't receive any grants so we rely solely on adoption fees and donations to fund all of our rescue efforts. Finally, we take on "Special Needs" dogs with high vet costs and pay for their procedures with 'leftover' funds from adoption fees for healthier dogs.

About Rompin Paws Rescue

Rompin Paws Rescue is a licensed, non-profit organization working towards our 501C3, specializing in rescuing moms to be, moms with puppies, puppies without moms and other Death Row dogs. We are located in Western Washington State.

Our passion is to bring people and pets together.      Countless dogs are without homes and in need of assistance. These are dogs who would make wonderful and faithful companions if only they could connect with the right person or family. We have made it our mission to help them do this. At the same time we hope to enrich the lives of those who adopt them.

We strive to match our dog's needs and personality to the preferences and requirements of each potential adopter. We believe this is a crucial component of the process and will help ensure a life-long relationship.

Our primary focus is on small mixed breeds, moms and puppies of small and large breeds, although we do occasionally take in larger dogs. We work collaboratively with shelters, other rescue groups, and individuals, both locally and in California..

RPR was established in April, 2015. we placed 400 dogs in our first year of operation in a small facility on Acreage in Arlington Washington.

We have a few local fosters and seek to increase our foster base in order to save more lives

Come Meet Our Pets...

We have a home based operation on Acreage in Arlington and      Our dogs are placed in foster homes around the greater Seattle/I-5 Corridor North to Arlington area where they receive socialization and training while they await adoption.

Our Adoption Process...

Since we have a small facility on gated acreage, we are unable to stay open to anyone who wishes to come visit. To facilitate successful adoptions we ask interested people and families to fill out an application for the dog or dogs they may be interested in. We screen the applications and then speak with the interested party by phone. If it looks like a good match can be made, we pre-approve the applicant and set an appointment for a meet and greet with the dogs at out facility or with the fosters who have the dogs in their care. we continue the interview in person and make sure the dog and family are a good fit.
