Gage Gage is A very sweet little guy, just lookin for love. He was rescued from the very hot streets in Bakersfield California in triple digit heat, wearing a never shaved, matted fur coat that weighed more than he does. Boy is he one happy guy now! Gage had his coat shaved off, has been placed on a human grade dehydrated food diet, with lots of oils and kelp for micronutrients. He would do best to stay on this diet. He now has bouncy energy again, can run and play and has rebuilt his muscles. Gage says he just wants a nice family to love and feel safe with for the rest of his life. gage is an indoor only dog, housebroken, sweet, loving and loves his lap time. we are looking for a dog Savvy family for Gage, not first time dog parents Gage has made doggie friends and would do best as a second dog, but can also be adopted as an only dog. he does not like crates and should never be crated, it creates undue stress and trauma. Gage is also learning how to be picked up. he may have had an injury or been dropped in the past. He loves laps and loves, loves attention and belly rubs. nhe needs time and patience with learning it is safe to be picked up off the ground. gage needs a yard, becaus eof the training needed for picking up, he is not a good dog park candidate and a yard would be the best way to play, ibnteract with gage and get him to run and stay in shape. he will chase balls, a dog friend. Gage has been groomed, had foxtails surgically removed, treated for parasites and fleas, worms and is fully vaccinated. He is neutered and microchipped. his adoption fee is $550.00 and he is being fostered in Marysville, Washington.
