Josie needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping her get a new start?
JOSIE Josie is a very sweet and small little Fox Terrier-chihuahua mix (Taco Terrier) mix female who was found wandering on her own at a gas station. A 4 week search for her owners turned up nothing. Josie is timid and calm and loves to be held while lying by your side and being massaged and petted. she seems to gravirtate towards women so would be a perfect dog for a female household, one without children as she is too timid for their energy. Josie uses the doggie door and has never had an indoor accident. it takes awhile to build trust with her, but once you do, she will wag her tail all the time, and will look at your in earnest with her brown eyes and may even ask to be picked up in your arms. she seems to not trust when approached or when being stood over, but is more receptive and friendly if you get down on the floor at eye level. Her foster began to teach her to come to her for a treat to assist if there is ever an emergency so she can retireve Josie if ashe ran away or reacted to something that frightened her Josie is spayed, up to date on her vaccines, and heartworm tested, treated for parasites. She is ready for her furever family to bring her home and share the love she has to give.
