ELLIE BUG I’m PAWroud (proud) to introduce Ellie. Her talents include licking off the water from your legs after you shower, nibbling on toes, rolling onto her back for rubs, giving gentle kisses, and sleeping under the blankets at night to keep you warm. Don’t let her size fool you. She’s incredibly tough and has spunk! Not only can she wrestle and hold her own with all the Puppers at the small dog park, but she also beat parvovirus. Not completely impressed yet? Well clearly she has beauty and bronze, but did I mention she has brains as well? Ellie is incredibly smart and wants only to please her people! The only thing in life she wants is a family to finally call her own to love and spoil her the way she deserves. If you’re looking for a small dog with a huge personality, you’ve found your girl. Ellie does need a home where she’ll have a dog brother/sister who will play her favorite games, like wrestling and tug-a-war. She gets along flawlessly with smaller dogs, but does have a fear of larger dogs. Ellie does well with medium dogs after warming up to them, which doesn’t take long at all. We share this with our adopters and encourage them to keep their new pet on the same foods for optimal health and a long life. Adoption fee is $495.00. This covers transport from California to RPR Rescue facility, adoption and medical such as certain vaccines, worming, parasite, and flea/tick control, Spaying, health certificate and wellness exam, microchip and any extra medical attention a dog may require such as dental, anal gland expression, emergency medical care. Also, we don't receive any grants so we rely solely on adoption fees and donations to fund all of our rescue efforts. Finally, we take on "Special Needs" dogs with high vet costs and pay for their procedures with 'leftover' funds from adoption fees for healthier dogs. Adopting a Dog requires a lot of work and is a commitment! Ellie will be an awesome addition to a family that can give him the attention, exercise, training, and affection he deserves. OUR REQUIREMENTS FOR ADOPTION 1) These animals are not livestock dogs. They must be family pets that are allowed inside the home. 2) We give preference to applicants with prior small breed knowledge/ experiences. 3) Secure visible fencing required. 4) You must have a plan in place to socialize your dog properly. 5) Please do NOT write us and ask if this dog is available. If it is posted, it is available. BUT, we may be working other applications that came in before yours. If so, by the time you are approved, the puppy may not be available. 8) The FASTEST way to be considered for a puppy is to fill out an application. If you write, it will delay your application and put you to the back of the line. All the persons processing applications are volunteers that have their own dogs, families and job responsibilities. We do our best to get applications done quickly but applications for adult dogs come before puppy applications. There is always someone that will want History: Ellie was found as a stray and was headed to the shelter. Rompin Paws Rescue was asked to help and we are so glad we did. All dogs RPR pulls from California come with health certificates, as required by Washington State Law.

Our primary focus is on small mixed breeds, moms, and puppies of small and large breeds, although we do occasionally take in larger dogs. We work collaboratively with shelters, other rescue groups, and individuals, both locally and in California. We placed 400 dogs in our first year of operation in a small facility on Acreage in Arlington Washington.
