Daisy
Daisy is a Sweet Maltese poodle Mix dumped into the streets in Bakersfield to survive on her own. she was rescued and is thrilled to be safe, warm and loved.
What we know about Daisy
She is a total lovebug- sweetheart who seems to enjoy the company of adults and dog savvy children. she is cuddly, is housebroken (but will need to learn the rules of her adopters home) sweet, easy going and smart. she does like to be with her humans, so no leaving her alone 8-10 hours a day. her family will need to make time for her, walks are essential as she loves her exercise and going out to explore.
We are still getting to know this sweet girl and I am sure she will show more of her personality once she is settled with her Furever family.
Daisy does require daily brushing, regular grooming and teeth cleaning to feel and look her best and keep her teeth healthy. we believe the Maltipoo is hypoallergenic if that is what you seek.
Daisy has an adoption fee of $550.00 and will be spayed before adoption, has a microchip, up to date on vaccines and treated for parasites. To apply to adopt, http://rompinpawsrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms

Healthy dogs: As a rescue saving dogs from starvation, Neglect and Emaciation, RPR focus's on feeding each rescue animal the healthiest dog food made of Human Grade ingredients to help them recover from their stress and starvation. We share this with our adopters and encourage them to keep their new pet on the same foods for optimal health and a long life.
Adoption fee is $550.00. This covers transport from California to Washington, to the rescue facility, adoption and medical such as certain vaccines, worming, parasite, and flea/tick control, health certificate and wellness exam, microchip and any extra medical attention a dog may require such as dental, anal gland expression, emergency medical care. Also, we don't receive any grants so we rely solely on adoption fees and donations to fund all of our rescue efforts. Finally, we take on "Special Needs" dogs with high vet costs and pay for their procedures with 'leftover' funds from adoption fees for healthier dogs.
Adopting a Dog requires a lot of work and is a commitment! Daisy will be an awesome addition to a family that can give her the attention, exercise, training and affection she deserves.
OUR REQUIREMENTS FOR PUPPY ADOPTION:
1) These dogs are not livestock dogs. They must be family pets that are allowed inside the home.
2) Someone must also be home at least part of the day. Please do not apply for a dog if you are gone 8-10 hours a day. It is not good situation for you or the dog.
3) We give preference to applicants with prior small breed knowledge/ experiences.
4) Secure visible fencing required.
5) You must have plan in place to socialize your dog properly.
6) Please do NOT write us and ask if this puppy is available. If it is posted, it is available. BUT, we may be working other applications that came in before yours. If so, by the time you are approved, the puppy may not be available.
7) The FASTEST way to be considered for a puppy is to fill out an application. If you write, it will delay your application and put you to the back of the line. All the persons processing applications are volunteers that have their own dogs, families and job responsibilities. We do our best to get applications done quickly but applications for adult dogs come before puppy applications. There is always someone that will want to adopt a puppy.
Health: Daisy has not yet been spayed, she will be spayed prior to adoption. she is microchipped, current on DHPP, Bordetella, and Rabies. He has been wormed and flea treated, tested negative for heartworm and Parvo
History: Daisy was a street dump. Rompin Paws Rescue was asked to help and we are so glad we did. All dogs RPR pulls from California come with health certificates, as required by Washington state Law.

We bring dogs from up from California. so there are transportation costs for each dog. Then the dogs need to be spayed/neutered, vaccinated, groomed, and sometimes boarded if we can't place them in a foster, or set up at the adoption facility in Arlington,

Our primary focus is on small mixed breeds, moms and puppies of small and large breeds, although we do occasionally take in larger dogs. We work collaboratively with shelters, other rescue groups, and individuals, both locally and in California..
