Nicki,

Nicki is a very sweet, gorgeous, muscled 12-pound boy who is shy initially, but once he warms up, is a total love bug. Nicki was rescued with his female BFF and their puppy. Their owners moved out of a rental home and left the family behind in the yard. Neighbors contacted Rompin Paws Rescue for assistance.

Nicki is happy to be an inside dog now. He loves to kiss, cuddle and play. He adores children, puppies, and other friendly small Breed dogs.  Nicki is the ultimate lap dog. he loves to cuddle and stay close to his people. 

If you have been gone for a little while He is so happy to see you when you come through the door. Nicki does need another dog or more for companionship. he does not do well as an only dog and becomes depressed. he loves his humans but he loves to have a buddy to hang and play with, run and chase.

Nicki is smart, housebroken and loves his exercise. I have not had a chance to see if he is leash trained. He may need to be worked with his harness and lead for a while, Nicki is a quick and willing study. Nicki is an athletic dog and will do best in a home with a yard for ball throwing and be sunning himself.  Nicki is up to date on all vaccines, neutered and microchipped. He is ready to find his forever family. The entire family was raised with children and will do well with older, dog-savvy kids.

Healthy dogs:  As a rescue saving dogs from starvation, Neglect and Emaciation, RPR focus's on feeding each rescue animal the healthiest dog food made of Human Grade ingredients to help them recover from their stress and starvation. We share this with our adopters and encourage them to keep their new pet on the same foods for optimal health and a long life.

Adoption fee is $ 450.00.  This covers transport from California to Washington, to the rescue facility, adoption and medical such as certain vaccines, worming, parasite, and flea/tick control, health certificate and wellness exam, microchip and any extra medical attention a dog may require such as dental, anal gland expression, emergency medical care.   Also, we don't receive any grants so we rely solely on adoption fees and donations to fund all of our rescue efforts. Finally, we take on "Special Needs" dogs with high vet costs and pay for their procedures with 'leftover' funds from adoption fees for healthier dogs.

Adopting a Dog requires a lot of work and is a commitment!  Niki will be an awesome addition to a family that can give him the attention, exercise, training, and affection he deserves.

OUR REQUIREMENTS FOR PUPPY ADOPTION: 

1) These dogs are not livestock dogs. They must be family pets that are allowed inside the home.

2) We give preference to applicants with prior small breed knowledge/ experiences.

3) Secure visible fencing required.

4) Please do NOT write us and ask if this dog is available. If it is posted, it is available. BUT, we may be working other applications that came in before yours. If so, by the time you are approved, the puppy may not be available. 

5) The FASTEST way to be considered for a dog is to fill out an application. If you write, it will delay your application and put you to the back of the line. All the persons processing applications are volunteers that have their own dogs, families and job responsibilities. We do our best to get applications done quickly but applications for adult dogs come before puppy applications. There is always someone that will want to adopt a puppy.

Health:  Nicki has been neutered, he is microchipped, current on DHPP, Bordetella, and Rabies. He has been wormed and flea treated, tested negative for heartworm and Parvo

History:  Nicki and his family were left behind when their human family moved. Rompin Paws Rescue was asked to help and we are so glad we did. All dogs RPR pulls from California come with health certificates, as required by Washington State Law.

All Animals are current on Vaccinations, spayed or neutered if age appropriate, microchipped, dewormed, deflea if required, General wellness exams (with health certificates if brought in from out of state).
