Charlie:

Charlie is a friendly guy with an outgoing personality, Once he warms up to his new people. Charlie is a Dachshund and Cavalier King Charles Spaniel known as a "Dashier"

Charlie was found as a stray and has adapted to living in the house. He plays and interacts with dogs of all sizes and ages. He will go to his feeding place as soon as he sees his meal being prepared and will sit and wait for his. Charlie likes to be held when it suits him. A bit cat like he is. He’s learning the house by watching the other dogs. Charlie is a very inquisitive little guy who loves to explore the nooks and crannies of the home. He found 2 spots where he goes to lay, the blanket on the hearth and in where the toys are stored.

Charlie has shown no aggression to any animals, humans or noises. When he was found he was given a bath and ticks and fleas were removed. He wasn’t real happy with the fussing but he endured it and felt a world better when he was cleaned up. He is an easy going boy, he gets along with dogs of all sizes, cats, young children and adults. He shows no fear, of anything.

That being said, if Charlie is on a lead walking, then he feels vulnerable and becomes extremely leash reactive. he will snap at other dogs and people. the best we can say is that maybe working with a behavioral trainer will help him with his re-activity, Or he need not go on leash walks. he seems quite content to play in a yard, chase balls and toys and be happy.

Charlie is a younger dog and should be in a family with older children. The children he’s been around are all elementary age. He is doing well with his housebreaking and the adopter will need to continue working with him. He trains easily, he will just need the continued consistency in his new environment

He eats morning and night. His foster makes her own food of all organic veggies, turkey, and fruits. Here at the rescue he is being fed a Human grade and raw diet- species appropriate food. We will educate adopters on nutrition so they can continue to provide him the foods he needs for health and longevity.

Charlie will make a wonderful addition to any family. Charlie has an adoption fee of $595.00 and all monies are recycled to save more dogs.
