Shilo

Is a 6-month-old, Silver-Blue Weimaraner and Labrador Retriever mix puppy who, with her sister Cassie were dumped at the shelter by their breeder because they were not sold. They were out of time so we rescued them.

Shilo is very sweet, energetic and smart, easy going and easy to train. Whoever adopts Shilo will be receiving an excellent companion. Shilo will need to be enrolled in dog training as part of her adoption. Shilo is an older puppy, therefore she will need formal training so she understands how to listen and develop basic manners and learn to be under voice command. With the right training, Shilo will be able to accompany her humans anywhere and have perfect manners making her welcome wherever she goes. Shilo is very intelligent, she trains easily and has been a joy to her foster. Shilo goes for a 1-2 hour daily hike on horse trails in the woods adjacent to the rescue. she loves her hikes and walks easily on a lead.

Shilo needs adopters who are active, have time to train and raise a puppy and will get Shilo out and exercise every day. She will make an excellent hiking, walking companion.  If you own a young adult dog, especially one well trained, Shilo will do well with a dog companion who can mentor her, be her buddy and show her the ropes.

Shilo is being fed Human grade food. We will educate the adopters in canine nutrition and feeding.

All Animals are current on Vaccinations, spayed or neutered if age appropriate, microchipped, dewormed, deflea if required, General wellness exams (with health certificates if brought in from out of state).
