CASSIE (Cassandra) Is a 1-year-old Black with white chest, Labrador Retriever mix girl who, with her sister Shilo was dumped at the shelter by their breeder because they were not sold. They were out of time so we rescued them. Cassie is a very loving dog who we are unsure why she is still in rescue except for the fact that she is black and black dogs are harder to adopt. Cassie has the sweetest disposition and is an absolute doll who is so easy to fall in love with. Cassie is a very loving, gentle, playful and docile soul. she loves to explore, go for long walks on trails and dirt roads, play in the acreage here with her buddies, chase after balls and greet the new littles when they arrive at the rescue. Cassie learns quickly and if adopted locally we have a recommended trainer or a 2-week training camp we recommend to give her a good Jumpstart in her bond with you. She will do best with an adopter who is experienced with larger breed dogs, especially if you love and adore the lab. Cassie has a Lab face and a sleek young Weimaraner body, a silky, soft and shiny coat and bright eyes that look deep into your soul expressing love CASSIE NEEDS ANOTHER DOG in the home for companionship, she will not do well as an only dog, she thrives on her relationships and play-cuddle time with her fur buddies when humans are busy. Cassie is a very loving and devoted dog. Cassie will make an excellent companion for someone who wants an active dog who can walk a few miles a day (not intense hiking, she had an injured elbow that we had surgery performed. it is healed but she should not do rough or long hiking) Cassie needs adopters who are active, have time to train and raise a young dog and will get her out and exercise every day. She will make an excellent hiking companion. If you own a young adult dog, especially one well trained, Cassie will thrive and do well with a dog companion who can mentor her, be her buddy and show her the ropes. Cassie is being fed Human Grade and Raw dog food. We will educate the adopters in canine nutrition and feeding. Cassie has an adoption fee of $550.00. All fees are recycled to save more dogs.
