Henry

Is a sweet Dachshund mix of 20 pounds who was saved several months ago when he was running on a freeway and was nearly killed.  The finder took him home, posted him and no one ever claimed. She then placed him in the backyard and just kind of left him until a rescue friend agreed to take him. 

Henry has shown himself to be quite the cuddle buddy. Henry needs closeness and a lot of touch. He loves other dogs, especially females, but can be a bit jealous when humans are on the couch and it's cuddle time. I.E he is an attention hog, but given he lived in a yard for months with no attention, this is normal and will probably calm down with confidence-building and a sense of security. Henry walks easily on a lead, is a generally happy boy who is always smiling and is a sweet dog who is intelligent and learns quickly.

Henry loves women right away and would thrive in an all-female household.  He will be fine with some guys/men after a thoroughly proper introduction and a few hours of getting to know one another, then he will open up to men. 

To quote his foster " He loves with everything he's got. Poor guy, that's all he wants"   His foster also states that Henry just loves her female dogs and sleeps and cuddles with them.

It is hard to tell from photos, but henry has the most stunning eyes that are filled with life and love. he is amazing and easy to fall in love with.

All Animals are current on Vaccinations, spayed or neutered if age appropriate, microchipped, dewormed, deflea if required, General wellness exams (with health certificates if brought in from out of state).
