Gema Gema Is a very sweet gentle soul who someone dumped to die at a very overcrowded kill shelter. The rescue coordinator did not even let her go to a kennel and sent her to us immediately for rescue. Thank goodness. this darling gem of a girl would have been beside herself in a cage in a cold and crowded shelter. Gema loves to snuggle close under the covers to stay warm. She also loves having her ears scratched and will nudge you with her nose to be petted. she is a smart little girl and will communicate with her body and her actions to try to tell you what she needs. Gema came to us in need of teeth cleaning. That is scheduled for December 18th. Gema will need someone who is retired or home a lot. she will want to be with her human as much as possible. she adores being held but will go for little walks and will do well in a fenced yard accompanied by a human to potty. being so tiny, she cannot be let outdoors by herself as a small hawk, owl or other bird of prey would take her easily, so she will need someone willing to go outside with her for potty breaks.
