Archie If you love Both the energy and spunk of the Jack Russell and the loyalty Of the Pug, this boy has both in spades. Archie was rescued from a rural shelter in California that has almost no foot traffic and depends on rescues to save the dogs. Archie was out of time and this little cutie just sashayed out to the greeting room, tail wagging knowing he was about to be set free. Archie is a curious, intelligent, gentle, super muscular, yet playful and full of life little guy. We have not tested him with cats so we recommend a cat-free home. Archie does well with Dog savvy children and Archie seems to love female dogs but is very particular about which males to pal with. Archie had been previously adopted but his little girl has developed a bad allergy to dogs and he is back in our rescue. Archie is a very high energy dog in terms of exercise. He is currently walking 2-3 miles a day. A yard and a doggie companion to run and play with will help burn off excess energy along with his daily walks. If you do not walk you current dog(s), please do not apply for Archie, he needs active adopters. He also needs a doggie playmate. ARCHIE cannot be an only dog (we keep receiving applications from people without a dog buddy for Archie) Archie has a $650.00 adoption fee which covers neuter, microchip, updating of his vaccines, flea control, and his general health care. All Monies are recycled to save more dogs. Archie is eating a species-specific diet of Raw and Human grade dog food. We educate our adopters in Canine Nutrition. He must be kept on this high grade food for his health and longevity. Archie came to us with severe allergies from eating poor quality food and his health has improved immeasurable. Anything less than Human grade will send his health spiraling backwards so his adopters need to be committed to species specific human grade food.
