Nellie

Oh my gosh, If you want a sweet, very young behaving senior dog whose being blind is barely a detriment to her (she may have been born blind) You have got to meet Nellie.  Nellie is ten or a bit younger. she is a super healthy Corgi-Dachshund mix whose owner died suddenly and unexpectedly.  Nellie is in foster care in Lynnwood and she is loving her life. Nellie learns her environment fairly quickly making her very mobile. she loves to chew on split deer antlers and dig treats out of toys that keep her mentally challenged (she will get bored being blind if she has nothing to do)  she really wants a doggie friend, so we are seeking a home with 1 or more friendly small dogs to be her BFF and help her get around. Nellie loves her walks and looks forward to them. Currently, her foster walks her 4 times a day. she gets to know the season smells and familiar areas of her hood pretty quickly.

Nellie came to us a few pounds overweight, which is hard on Dachshund/corgi short legs,. we Have her one Human grade dog food diet, joint supplements for horses (which perform miracles in dog joints) and she receives tiny portions of simple, limited ingredient dog treats. the many walks and her diet and helping her to trim down steadily. she should be a 20-pound dog when normalized and this will greatly improve her mobility, keep her joints healthy and keep her energy high.

Nellie is up to date on her vaccines and is spayed. She is a happy going pup who just needs a doting loving home with people and pups for constant companionship. she will not do well in home where people are gone much of the day. Retirees, work from home folks will be perfect.

Nellie has an adoption fee of $495.00. All fees are recycled to save more dogs
