Imepatikana or "Pata" the Heeler Mix Puppy

Imepatikana is Swahili for "found"

Pata was found as a small puppy starving on the streets and was presumed to have been dumped (very common for the area she was found). Pata is an absolute doll and is very easy going. Pata is approx 6 months old and about 29 pounds. She is estimated to be up to 45 pounds as an adult and would make a wonderful hiking companion. Pata is a Australian heeler and possibly Catahoula mix. Pata is very smart, learns easily, likes all people and is social. She has learned to walk on a lead and doing really well, she needs more work on recall. Pata is a lovebug and needs to be a family member who will, live indoors and be a part of the human and animal pack

Pata is a very active, working breed mix. Pata needs:

1. An active family                                                                                                                       2. A family committed to professionally training her with a certified behavioral trainer.      3. Adopter must have a large yard and be active walkers so she receives enough exercise.  4. Have a Young, similar sized, adult dog in the home who will be her BFF and mentor. 

Please watch the enclosed videos. Pata Cannot be an only dog. She thrives being with another dog for companionship and mentoring. There are two dogs in the fosters home. One is a heeler Catahoula just like Pata. She loves having two other dogs to mentor her, teach her and be her buddies. 

As part of her adoption, the adopters will be expected to enroll her in dog training prior to picking her up to adopt. Proof of enrollment will be required. We can also help you choose a good trainer or school to work with.

Pata is being fed a Human Grade and Raw dog food diet for her health and longevity. Her foster is training her on a lead and harness. Pata is up to date on vaccines and is heartworm negative. If this is a local adoption her spaying will be covered by the rescue at at our vet, other wise we will work with you on a spay plan for when she is old enough.

Pata has an adoption fee of $650.00. All fees are recycled to save more dogs and help us rescue seniors medical dogs and dogs in desperate situations.

All Animals are current on Vaccinations, spayed or neutered if age appropriate, microchipped, dewormed, deflea if required, General wellness exams (with health certificates if brought in from out of state).
