Zippy a Havanese Male needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping him get a new start?
Zippy seems to be a Purebred Havanese but since he was relinquished we dont know for sure. but he fits all that Havanese traits. Zippy is a sweet would who was relinquished by his family through no fault of his own. Zippy is about 2-2.5 years old, up to date on his vaccines and neutered. He weighs approx 12-15 pounds and is all fur. Zippy does need someone who is used to the long furred breeds and will be committed to Brushing his fur everyday. If Havanese are not groomed daily their fur becomes a tangled mess. Zippy should be professionally groomed 4x a year to also help maintain his glorious coat. Zippy is a hero dog. His adoption fee will be used to cover the dental fees of 2 senior dogs rescued from being killed in a shelter. Zippy has an adoption fee of $750.00. We expect Zippy to have many applications. Please do not write and ask if he is available. Ff he is listed he is. We will review all applications. we cannot respond to everyone. If we feel you may be a good match, we will email you a feeding and care guide to review and follow up in 24-48 hours with a phone interview. a meet and greet will take place with the three finalists.

Here is a little blurb on Havanese dogs Havanese are very people-oriented dogs, love snuggling in laps, and can be overly dependent -- they don't do well at all when left for long periods of time without companionship. "Not doing well" means unhappiness and boredom, which they may try to vent through barking and destructive chewing. Though peaceful and gentle with everyone (humans and other pets), the Havanese can be conservative with strangers. Socialization is important to build a confident, outgoing temperament, as there is a potential for excessive caution/timidity.
