Gianni

is a sweet, loving boy desperate for love and a family of his own who ended up on a kill list at the shelter for no fault of his own other than no one claimed or adopted him. Gianni has one shrunken eye which may mean he was born blind in that eye or somewhere in his life he suffered an injury. We will have a vet double-check it and amend this write up. His eye does not seem to pain him and he sees well with his good eye. Gianni is a lap dog who willdo best as an only dog as he becomes jealous when he is being petted and loved on, however, He does well with all the dogs here, male and female until he is in a lap, so he may also do fine with the right female dog and some boundaries set by his humans.  

Gianni seems to understand that he was saved and shows how grateful he is every moment. Gianni follows me around the house and wants to be cuddled and held constantly...this will ease up as he develops more confidence and understands he is truly safe. Gianni needs a very dog savvy, experienced adopter who has worked with rescue dogs or abused dogs. he seems to become extremely protective of his person when strangers (to him) come into the home. He will need an understanding human with patience who is willing to help him work through his fears.

Gianni is being fed a Human Grade and Raw dog food diet. He loves the food and looks forward to his meals. The food is giving him great energy and he already looks healthier in a short time of being on this diet.  Rompin Paws Rescue educates our adopters in Canine Health and Nutrition and species-specific diets. Rompin Paws wants all of our adopted rescues to stay on the quality food we suggest for longevity, vitality and optimal health.

All Animals are current on Vaccinations, spayed or neutered if age appropriate, microchipped, dewormed, deflea if required, General wellness exams (with health certificates if brought in from out of state).
