WAYLON

Waylon is a sweet 2-year-old Catahoula Leopard and Border Collie dog. Waylon has been living on a central California ranch for 2 years. The owners have relinquished Waylon to the rescue because he "does not want to work" Well, a Catahoula is a hound dog and a hunting breed so we can definitely see why Waylon is not into rounding up cattle on the range. what Waylon has made perfectly clear is that he wants to be someone's BFF companion dog. Waylon loves attention, long walks, runs, and hiking, he just doesn't want to chase cows. he wants sunshine, outdoor adventures, cuddles on a couch, and good people to love on him. Waylon is used to running hundreds of acres of land, so as long as he is an inside dog and a pet, he would be very happy accompanying someone doing their farm or ranch chores, just don't make him work. Waylon also grew up with his brother and other ranch dogs so would do best in a home with another dog-friendly dog.

Waylon is now being fed a Human grade and Raw dog food diet. Rompin Paws rescue educates adopters in species-specific canine feeding. Waylon is approx. 2 years of age and will be neutered By our vet on January 6th. he is available to adopt now and we can make arrangements to have you get him to our vet.
