Skipper Do You Love Italian Greyhound mixes? This boy has looks and sweetness in Spades! Skipper is a sweet albeit shy 10-month-old Jack Russell-Italian Greyhound pup who was found as a stray in the Modesto area of California. Skipper is friendly and loving once he know he can trust you. He is a little uncertain of some men and great with others so we believe a man may have abused him and he is male selective. He loves his Foster momma, the grandkids and is slowly coming around to hubby. Skipper loves to roll on his back for belly rubs and chase the younger dogs in the home. Skipper is now lead trained and takes daily walks on his harness and lead. Skipper likes to have a yard to run and play in. He loves his walks and his foster walks him 2-3x a day. Skipper likes to be talked to and will roll over for endless belly rubs. he does get along with all the dogs in his foster home and would likely thrive in a home with 1-2 other Italian greyhounds or friendly small dogs. Skipper will do best with dog savvy, especially rescue savvy adopters who understand the shyness of a new rescue and that it takes time for them to come out of their shell and fully be themselves and realize they are safe and in a furever home. Skipper is being fed a Human Grade and Raw Dog foods and he loves them. We educate our adopters in canine-specific care and feeding. He is currently unaltered and we have a scheduled appointment for his neuter in January. PLEASE do not write and ask if this dog is available. If he is listed, he is available.
