Trilby a small chihuahua needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping her get a new start?
Trilby is a sweet chihuahua who is about 7-8 years old is our best guess. Trilby and her 2 dog buddies were dumped at the shelter by family who did not want them when their human passed away. all three are safe and Trilby now seeks her new furever family. Trilby came to us completely emaciated, a skeleton. we nursed her back to health. Trilby had her remaining bad teeth extracted in February. Trilby's blood tests look great. She is healthy, the perfect weight, and eating species-specific Human grade soft foods and raw dog food. Trilby loves her diet and is thriving. Trilby is special needs, although she has improved greatly since gaining muscle mass, she cannot walk well and spends much of her time in her cozy bed, she does need small walks around the house and yard daily to keep her muscles strong, but she is unable to go more than a 100 feet or so at a time. She prefers a lap and will walk around some in a room which is good for her. the vet suspects some spinal damage. I DO MASSAGE HER LEG DAIL AND SHE HAS REGAINED A GOOD AMOUNT OF MUSCLE MASS WHICH HAS MADE HER MORE MOBILE. the massaging and getting her blood circulated in the weak back leg has helped as well. we recommend keeping her on the muscle up and joint supplement we add to her food for long-term health and mobility. Trilby needs someone who has had a tiny dog before, will keep her on her healthy diet and supplements, and give her the love she deserves. Trilby is smart, will listen when you talk and understands many words. She is a really happy dog who makes you smile just to see her. She gets so excited to see you if you have been out of the room and will get up and greet you.
