MEET TOBY

Toby is the sweetest, most outgoing terrier mix we have had in a while. He is also VERY high energy and will need a Terrier Savvy adopter who has the time to TRAIN and take this boy out for a lot of runs and exercise. Toby found himself at the shelter through no fault of his own. he is very high energy which is typical for these hunting/sporting terriers coupled with his intelligence and you will get a dog who is easily bored and becomes needy quickly. Toby is awesome and is not a dog for the uninitiated.

Toby will require a professional trainer. we recommend our trainer Kathy who has many many certifications and works with behaviorally challenged dogs. Toby is incredibly intelligent and he needs someone willing to bring him into focus and giove him some boundaries and a huge outlet for his energy. Toby would make an awesome agility dog. he has powerful hind legs and can run like crazy. he would also excel at terrier trials.

Toby is being fed human-grade dog food both dehydrated and raw. he loves them. he is fun, funny, and a lover.  he does very well with female dogs and excellent with passive males. unneutered males will cause him to become aggressive.  If you are an experienced terrier person, are seeking a dog who be a very devoted companion, learns quickly and can go everywhere with you, and would love to be a hiking dog, and you will commit to a professional trainer, Please fill out our online application.

All Animals are current on Vaccinations, spayed or neutered if age appropriate, microchipped, dewormed, deflea if required, General wellness exams (with health certificates if brought in from out of state).
