Jerri Lee Jerri Lee is the smallest of a litter of 1.5-year-old boys rescued from a hoarding situation. Jerri Lee is 7.6 pounds. From Jerri's foster mum:
Jerri is a smart, sweet, and energetic young boy!
He is very timid to start, but when you get his trust, he will show you his true personality and follow you 24/7! He really wants to be with his human all the time and doesn't like to be alone, so people who work from home or are retired would be ideal. He loves playing with other small dogs and follows their behaviors. If you have another sweet pup who can be a good role model for him, that would be perfect! He also loves playing with toys and enjoys running around in the backyard. He recently started playing with humans using squeaky toys. He is very playful and energetic but also sweet and intelligent. When relaxing on a sofa, he will come up, become a couch potato, and watch TV with you:) He is food motivated and learns new things quickly. He is potty trained and can use pee pads or go to a fully fenced backyard to do his business. He learned the ‘stay’ command as well. Because of his previous experience, physical interaction with humans is not his favorite yet, but now he allows us to pet his head, face, and neck. He likes to eat food from our hands, take naps next to us, and touch us when he wants some attention. He even likes to brush his teeth. He waits for us in the bathroom to get his teeth brushed before sleep every night:) What a good boy!
Jerri's eyes tell us he wants to be loved, and he just needs copious love from his humans. If you are willing to support this sweet angel to overcome his previous trauma completely, you can open up the last door of his heart, and he will jump into your arm!
Jerri Lee has been transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble in place of a healthy canine-specific feeding regimen. We will educate his adopters on proper diet and nutrition for him and his new buddies. To apply to adopt Jerri Lee has a $550.00 adoption fee.
