Beau Bo

is a sweet, young, very energetic male Miniature Pinscher and Chihuahua mix boy relinquished by his owner to the Oakdale California Shelter.  His life was at risk so we happily took Beau Bo into Rompin Paws.  

Separation Anxiety:  He does display some separation anxiety. this is due to an extended stay at the shelter. Update: the longer he is here the more relaxed he has become. he is opening up quite a bit and is showing what a cuddler he can be.

Prey Drive:  Definitely wants to chase cats and squirrels.. While it’s not impossible to train dogs with high prey drive, it can definitely prove to be a huge challenge.  Unless his forever human is willing to put in the time and work to teach him a solid “recall” you will definitely need to keep him on a leash if not contained by a secure fence.

• Can and does play independently with his toys but also enjoys a human joining in.
• Requires a gentle hand in terms of training. Beau Bo is very intelligent and sensitive. Harsh training methods are unnecessary and will likely result in him becoming fear aggressive.
• Learns quickly & listens well.
• Takes treats from your hand gently.
• Rides beautifully in the car.
• Bonds easily with the caretaker.
• loves to learn new commands, very attentive.

Beau Bo has been transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble in place of a healthy canine-specific feeding regimen. We will educate his adopters on proper diet and nutrition for him and his new buddies.  To apply to adopt Beau Bo, he has a $650.00 adoption fee.                                            All monies will be recycled to cover medical care and rescue more dogs.

All Animals are current on Vaccinations, spayed or neutered if age appropriate, microchipped, dewormed, deflea if required, General wellness exams (with health certificates if brought in from out of state).
