TREY,

Is a sweet loving 1-year-old Italian Greyhound-Chihuahua mix boy who was found as a stray and taken to the shelter. he was never claimed and his time had run out. Once Trey knew he was free, he hugged his rescuer as if to say Thank you!

trey is a very gentle soul who requires a compassionate, dog-savvy person whom he can bond with. he is easy to train and needs a gentle touch. Trey seems to enjoy the company of other small breed, gentle dogs and will do well with small friendly pups who like to socialize. 

Trey has been looking to walk nicely on a lead with his foster mum. he will let you know he wants to cuddle by gently placing his head against your leg or your chest. he enjoys lap time, walks, adventures to the river where he currently lives, walks on trails and playing in the yard with his foster brother. For such a young dog, he is mature, and soft, gentle, and sweet, loving yet independent.  Trey will do best in an adult-only home with people who are very active and will keep him exercised and in shape but do not have children or large dogs.

Trey has been transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble in place of a healthy canine-specific feeding regimen.
