LUCY,

came to us from an overcrowded shelter in Arizona with 4 puppies in tow. This 1-year-old darling is very smart and trains easily. she loves the country and her 4-5 mile morning walk on the horseback riding trails in the tree farm located near the rescue in Arlington. Lucy is a working breed dog, she needs someone who will walk her miles a day and spend time training her. Lucy requires both in spades. Lucy is a dog who if she does not receive enough physical exercise will dig holes or get into mischief out of boredom. she will do best as a family pet who can accompany her peeps on a horse ranch, or someone who lives near trails and does long daily walks or jogs, or runs along a beach. Lucy is young, active, and intelligent.

Lucy adores her fosters granddaughter and just lights p with smiles when the child is in the room. she does really well with the foster two large breed dogs. Both dogs are teaching Lucy what play is all about. Lucy was in a concrete cell for 2.5 months of her short life and was pregnant as a 6-month-old puppy, so she has not had a chance to just be a playful puppy, and enjoy life.

Lucy has a very gentle and sweet personality. she wants to learn, run and be your best friend. She knows she was rescued and she is so happy to be free and have a couple of buddies to mentor her until she can find her furever family.

Lucy has been transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble in place of a healthy canine-specific feeding regimen. We will educate his adopters on proper diet and nutrition for him and his new buddies. To apply to adopt Lucy she has a $650.00 adoption fee.  All monies will be recycled to cover medical care and rescue more dogs. Please fill out the online application using this link.                                                                                                                                                                                                      Please be thorough in your answers and expound whenever possible so we get to know you and can make the best match.  HTTP://rompinpawsrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms
