Calvin

is one of 3 surviving male puppies born to Lucy a small Border Collie-cattle dog mix. Calvin has a sweet personality, is extremely intelligent and is hyper-aware of his environment. He loves to watch tree branches sway in the breeze, study birds in flight, watch a beetle walk between blades of grass. 

Rompin Paws is seeking an adopter who has a young adult dog who will mentor Calvin, has land, a farm, ranch, or very active adopters who live near trails and run, hike, and walk a lot to keep him happy. Calvin's adopters will need to commit to training with a professional positive reinforcement trainer. Calvin is of two working breeds and these breeds love to learn and thrive on mental stimuli, otherwise, they become bored and destructive.  Calvin is not a city dog.

Calvin may also make an excellent agility dog.  We think Calvin will be in the 30-40 pound range as an adult.  he is still young and if enrolled in training in the next 3 weeks he will be at an optimal learning point to begin his lifelong training skills. Calvin and his two littermates are Parvo survivors. they originated from a shelter in Flagstaff, Arizona. Mom-Lucy and her 4 puppies were rescued from the shelter.

Calvin has been transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble in place of a healthy canine-specific feeding regimen. All Animals are current on Vaccinations, spayed or neutered if age appropriate, microchipped, dewormed, deflea if required, General wellness exams (with health certificates if brought in from out of state).
