SKYE

is one of 3 surviving male puppies born to Lucy a small Border Collie-Cattle dog mix. Skye has a sweet personality, is extremely intelligent and is hyper-aware of his environment. Skye has the longest fur of the three puppies. More Border Collie than Basenji

Rompin Paws is seeking an adopter who has a young adult dog who will mentor Skye, has land, a farm, ranch, or very active adopters who live near trails and run, hike, and walk a lot to keep him happy. Skye's adopters will need to commit to training with a professional positive reinforcement trainer. Skye is of two working breeds and these breeds love to learn and thrive on mental stimuli, otherwise, they become bored and destructive.  Skye is not a city dog.

Skye may also make an excellent agility dog.  We think Skye will be in the 35-40 pound range as an adult.  He is still young and if enrolled in training in the next 3 weeks he will be at an optimal learning point to begin his lifelong training skills. Skye and his two littermates are Parvo survivors. they originated from a shelter in Flagstaff, Arizona. Mom-Lucy and her 4 puppies were rescued from the shelter.

Skye has been transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble in place of a healthy canine-specific feeding regimen.
