NOVA

Is the sweetest, softest, smartest puppy Dutch Shepherd mix!  If you are seeking a forever companion to hike with, be your go-everywhere partner, your office companion while you work, or to go with you on chores around the farm or ranch, look no further. Nova's Mom is a white Shepherd-Husky with blue eyes, dad is thought to be a full Dutch Shepherd.

Nova and her mom plus 2 siblings were rescued from being put to death at an overcrowded Texas shelter. They are thriving in foster care. They are very well socialized with both humans and all types of dogs. Nova is still a bit shy, but with consistent socializing and training, she will be awesome!

Nova is a smart and lovable puppy who has medium-high energy. She is very inquisitive and seeks out attention and love. Nova will be easy to train if she begins as soon as she is adopted. She does need a companion dog in her size range for mentoring and friendship.

Because of the working breeds within these dogs, She will need to be enrolled in training prior to going home with her adopter. Her new family should have a very active lifestyle as Nova needs a lot of mental and physical stimulation to be a happy dog. Hiking long walks on trails, trips to the beach. This high-level of activity needs to be a daily lifestyle with this breeding. working breeds become unhappy and bored if they do not have their physical and mental needs met. Dog training, agility courses, swim activities are all great daily activities.

The puppies are being well socialized with humans and other dogs of different breeds and ages. enrolling them in doggie daycare is another way to keep their dog social. We do not adopt puppies as only dogs so Nova will need a similarly sized adult dog in the family as a mentor and best fur buddy.

If you have the time, energy, and willingness to train and care for a working breed puppy and you have one or more, well-trained dogs already in the home to be her buddies, we encourage you to apply to adopt Nova.

Nova has been transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble in place of a healthy canine-specific feeding regimen. We will educate her adopters on proper diet and nutrition for her and her new buddies.

All Animals are current on Vaccinations, spayed or neutered if age appropriate, microchipped, dewormed, deflea if required, General wellness exams (with health certificates if brought in from out of state).
