ALLEGRA If you love the Italian Greyhound breed and are seeking a super sweet and adoring lapdog and you have the time to commit to a dog, You will want to meet Allegra! Allegra is a very sweet, playful, and loving Italian Greyhound mix. In early October we were contacted about a hoarding situation. Allegra was found outdoors nursing her 2-week old puppies and we took them in. Allegras' beautiful little ones have all found homes and Allegra had been in foster care with her smallest puppy while her milk dried. She is now seeking her furever family. From the moment we met Allegra it was love. In spite of her mistreatment, starvation and being pregnant as a puppy, and now being just about 1 year of age, she has the most awesome, loving personality. She wants to be where her person is, will lay in a lap for hours sharing kisses and rolling on her back for belly rubs. she is delicate, sweet, and very deserving of her forever human. Allegra is cold-sensitive and will need to wear a sweater indoors and an added layer when she goes out. she loves to run in the yard, then come back and lay in her bed by the fireplace. she loves to be talked to and listens intently as she tries to understand your words. Allegra is just so special. Allegra is not yet leash trained for walks and this will take some time so because of this she will need a fenced yard and hopefully a furbuddy for companionship as well. she loves her daughter so we are all sad her foster did not adopt Allegra as well as she and her puppy are best buddies, so we want to see Allegra with a dog companion if possible. Allegra has been transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble in place of a healthy canine-specific feeding regimen. We will educate her adopters on proper diet and nutrition for her and his new buddies. To apply to adopt Allegra she has a $650.00 adoption fee.
