Helen

Helen is a sweet 13-month-old Papillon-Jack Russell. She is mostly deaf but can hear very loud noises and barks in a certain pitch range.

She would do well to be training in sign language working with a trainer. we also recommend a yard so she can potty in safety. Helen has not yet been trained to harness and lead as she was recently rescued from a high kill shelter.  Helen is extremely outgoing once she trusts you. Helen is reserved during the first meeting. Then she is a ball of puppy energy wanting to play and be in your lap. She loves men, she gets along very well with small dog-friendly pups and she watches other dogs learn. she would do well in a home with 1-2 other dogs who can mentor her but it's not a deal-breaker. what she does need is someone who works from home or home most of the time so she can receive the love attention and training she needs.  Whoever adopts this lovebug will be so lucky. She is an awesome girl with a huge personality and a ton of love to give.

Helen has been transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble in place of a healthy canine-specific feeding regimen. All Animals are current on Vaccinations, spayed or neutered if age appropriate, microchipped, dewormed, deflea if required, General wellness exams (with health certificates if brought in from out of state).
