MIMI and Basil Mimi is a sweet 9-year-old, 6.5-pound purebred Chihuahua and Basil is her 8-pound, 7-year-old daughter a Dachshund-Chihuahua. Both girls are spayed, up to date, microchipped and very healthy. We are scheduling a dental for them. they may be adopted while waiting for their dental appointmen. Background: They came to us because their human died and the caretaker left Mimi and her daughter Basil outdoors for 7 months before deciding she needed them to go. Rompin Paws stepped in to prevent them from going into a kill shelter. What Basil And Mimi Need: Mimi was shy, to begin with, but with love, affection, good food, and weight loss, she has built her confidence and is ready for her forever family. Basil is still shy but is coming around. There are many dogs around them and we feel they will fare best in a quieter home where they can relax and become close to their new family. Mimi likes to cuddle, go for walks, explore, hang in a window and look outside, and be loved on and talked to. Basil enjoys exploring cuddling, and walking but is afraid of the outdoors. she will do potty and come back inside, fearful she will be locked out. This sweet bonded pair would be excellent for a retired couple who have the time and willingness to show these girls they are loved again and all will be alright. How to apply to adopt and meet these girls Mimi and basil have been transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble in place of a healthy canine-specific feeding regimen. We will educate her adopters on proper diet and nutrition for her and her new buddies. To apply to adopt these girls, they have a Bonded Pair adoption fee of $850.00.
