SMOKEY

is healing from her broken heart and damaged body from having been deliberately burned by a human at 3 months of age.
Her fosters Ethan and Elizabeth and their son are helping Smokey to trust again. they are raising her with dogs, cats, and farm animals. She is learning trust, to cuddle, and listen to commands
This darling 5-month-old puppy is ready for her new people.
Smokey is still shy and will require a patient person(s) willing to put in the time and love to continue her rescue recovery.
Smokey loves older children, friendly dogs she can play with, and her humans. She bonds deeply once she trusts. having a doggie busy will help ease her transition and give her a mentor to bond with.
Smokey is most likely a Shiba Inu mix, she is approx. 30 pounds and we think will be in the 50-60 pound range.
Smokey likes to cuddle, hang out with her dog friends,, and play out in the lawn area with her buddies. Smokey is still afraid of the harness and due to her burns, she needs an escape-free, cozy harness that will not dig into her burns.

Please use a computer as tablets and cell phones will drop the app. Smokey has been transitioned onto a human-grade diet that avoids kibble in place of a healthy canine-specific feeding regimen.
