LUKE

Australian Shepherd-Klee Kai mix                                                                            23  pounds/2-years-old

Sweet, loveable Luke!  This Boy has it all!  Luke is super loving, happy, and energetic. He lives for his daily walks with his human and loves adventures. He does well with Children, cats, and friendly dogs.  Luke was adopted and returned for being a runner when they let him outside...... they just left the door open I guess and expect him to stay  and this was after a YEAR of no issues. in fact, he just wants to be on a harness and lead and go on adventures with his people or run a large yard exploring and then chew on his deer antler.

We believe Luke is a Miniature Australian Sheperd and Klee Kai mix.
He is dog friendly and enjoys being with his people but he needs someone that will leash him up when they take him outdoors and for walks. Luke will need a fenced yard for his playtime.
Luke is very loyal intelligent and sweet. He is easygoing and eager to please. he is a talker, so someone who understand the Aussie Shepherd, Husky personalities will love Luke. he lets you knw when he has to go out, wants a walk, needs a new bone or you are later with his dinner. its par for the breeds in him. He also loves to snuggle, chase balls and BE with his people. he does not do well spening hours alone so a retired couple, individual or folks who work from home will thrill this boy.

What Luke Needs

Luke will need someone who has the time and willingness to spend taking Luke out on joyous walks, adventures, and beachcombing. He loves to get out and DO! He is not a couch potato dog. He loves laps, but he also loves his exercise and adventure time. Like any rescue dog newly placed, Luke will benefit from working with a professional positive reinforcement (fear-free) trainer. Luke is an eager learner.  Luke will do really well to have a dog buddy he can bond with and have as a friend when the humans are busy. Luke would likely excell at agility, hoop jumping and other mind and physical activities that make him think and do.

How To Appy To Adopt Luke

Luke has been transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble in place of a healthy canine-specific feeding regimen. All Animals are current on Vaccinations, spayed or neutered if age appropriate, microchipped, dewormed, deflea if required, General wellness exams (with health certificates if brought in from out of state).
