Jackson a Dachshund mix male needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping him get a new start?
Jackson is a sweet, loving, albeit shy at first dog. Jackson was pulled from a high-kill shelter after having been there a few weeks. He was thrilled to be out of that kennel and sitting in the warmth of the sun for the first time in a while. Jackson is docile, smart, gentle, and curious, and gets along well with other dogs and some cats. We have not tested him with children so we are recommending an adult-only home. He loves spending time with his humans and exploring. Jackson will make a fabulous walking partner as he likes to explore and see new things (once he has decompressed and been integrated into his new home). When we bathed Jackson he enjoyed the bath, he enjoyed being dried even more and loves being brushed. Nice and clean, he prances like a prince. What a great dog! Jackson will hang out quietly on his bed chewing his deer antler, when his person enters the room he gives all his attention to them tail wagging greeting them for a hug and cuddle, then plop, he is on nhis back for a belly rub. jackson is suck a great dog, I dont know why someone dumped him at the shelter to die. give this boy the right love and care and he will give you his whole heart! Whoever adopts Jackson is going to have a very Loyal best buddy.
