Rex the senior Dachshund mix needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping him get a new start?
Rex Rex is an adorable 8-year-old Dachshund mix who was discovered wandering near a fast food restaurant near Burien. Fortunately, he had a microchip, but when his owner was contacted, she refused to take him back. Thankfully, Rompin Paws took him in and provided him with much-needed dental care, including removing rotted teeth. Additionally, they had a large fatty tumor removed from his chest. Afterward, they placed him on a high-nutrient, wet diet, and he began to thrive. Rex has been exploring trails, beaches, and fields with his foster family. He has met many new people, dogs, and critters galore. His muscles have become more robust, and he can walk better. He loves his new food, toys, and going on adventures. Whenever it's time for a walk, he sits like a gentleman, eagerly waiting for his harness and lead so that he can go exploring. Rex is a young senior with many years to look forward to. He would love a family with one or more very friendly dogs and active humans who will continue to take him on beach and trail adventures and two or more daily walks to keep him fit and happy.
