JOEY

Joey is a three-year-old dog who has been identified as a mix of Shiba Inu and Shih Tzu. Initially frightened and confused, Joey has come to realize that he is safe. Although he had not been well socialized with other dogs, he has made a few dog buddies since his arrival and now happily chases them in the dog play yard. Joey loves to jump into a lap and be held and talked to. He responds well to a kind voice and listens as though he understands every word, then leans his body close for cuddles and pets.

Joey is an intelligent and curious boy who will vigilantly watch over your home and alert you to any approaching strangers. He can be your loyal and loving companion forever!

He wants YOU to know that he is easygoing and loving, as long as you will love him unconditionally. He also says he is so happy to be losing weight because now he can run, play, and jump into Cheryl's arms without any pain. He is looking forward to car rides, long walks, and playtimes with his new humans, who he hopes will provide him with the love and care he deserves.
