Rompin Paws Rescue Presents...

Opie is a 5 month old  German short hair Pointer mix.

 He is a sweet boy who wants to be with his humans loving and cuddling, He is very smart and will do well in obedience classes. He has learned sit, stay and drop. Opie will make an excellent walking and hiking dog as he is of a thicker build rather than the long and tall hunting build a GSP typically has. he is mellow and sweet, and just wants to tag along everywhere.  he goes for long hikes on trails around the rescue accompanied by a lab mix and shepard and has a blast. It is Opies favorite time of the day.

Opie has been fostered with dogs of every size, now that he is growing , he is a little too rough for his former small dog playmates. He has instead been playing with the lab mix, shepards and pittie mixes we have in the rescue.  We discovered recently he has developed a high prey drive and will chase cats and small wild animals,  so we  recommend larger dogs for playmates as he is too rough for smaller dogs.  we aren't sure what his mix is, or how many breeds he has in him. he has the colouring and face of a GSP and that what his mothers is, a German Short haired Pointer.  He is just a happy go lucky guy. Opie is an inside dog, I.E not to be tethered or left alone outside. He is a family pet.

Opie loves to run around in the grass, play with toys and chew on his deer antlers. Older kids will be fine, as he loves everyone. no young children as he might accidently knock them down unwittingly in his exhuberance.

Opie is neutered, up to date on his vaccines, microchipped and ready for his furever family.

All Animals are current on Vaccinations, spayed or neutered if age appropriate, microchipped, dewormed, deflea if required, General wellness exams (with health certificates if brought in from out of state).
