Butters

Is a very sweet, very loving and cuddly 16lb neutered male Westie Terrier-Poodle boy who was found wandering the streets of Bakersfield for a week when a nice woman took him in.

After a month of searching for his family and scanning him for a chip she decided he had been dumped which is very common in this Town.

Butters has been completely vetted and neutered by Rompin Paws. His foster mom took him to the vet, fed him well and started to potty train him.  Butters does well when taken outside and will go, but still does not know how to tell anyone when he does need to go out, so he still has accidents.  A leather belt with bells can be used to train butters to communicate his needs

These are the notes from Butters foster mom: Was found as a scared, skinny stray wandering a neighborhood for almost a week and was never claimed by any owners. •Is a small, male terrier mix •Smiles a cute, crooked smile for treats • 4-5 years old •Is very playful •Loves kids (because they play with him!) •Loves dog toys and plays endless fetch •Loves to snuggle •Does well in a crate overnight as long as he goes potty first. •Needs a bit more help with housetraining. •Is very sweet and loving. •Will make someone a great friend.

Butters is a super friendly, loving dog who went from being terrified to learning to trust again. The vet thinks he is about 5 years old and is in very good health.

Butters would do best with a female dog but will also be happy as an only dog. he is the ultimate lap dog and loves to be with his human.  Butters would be great for a retired person(s) and make a nice RV travel dog as well
