Charlie is from a litter of 4 male Staffordshire Terrier puppies who came to us when their mom developed kennel stress at the shelter and could no longer handle having her puppies with her. We received them at the tender age of 4 weeks and weaned them on goat milk and high quality foods.

Charlie is a black puppy with a white spotted muzzle and a strip up his nose.  He is a very sweet loving dog and will make an awesome companion.  All four puppies are handled with gentleness and kindness and will need adopters who are gentle and kind and will raise them to be a good canine citizens, Charlie is up to date on shots, microchipped, dewormed and has had parasite treatments/preventative. He eats freeze dried and dehydrated raw foods and is super healthy.

As with any large breed puppy Rompin Paws adopts out, we have it in our contract that these pups will attend 5 levels of doggie manners and training courses for their sake and yours. This breed is killed to the tune of 1 million dogs a year, in the shelters across the U.S.  and we want to be sure the adopters are committed to raising well trained, happy animals, who will be in their care for their entire lives.

Please note there is a clause that maintains that any puppies who are mixed with large breeds,  must go through puppy obedience school then onto the Good Canine Citizen class.  Given that 6 million dogs are still killed in shelters annually and over 1.5 million dogs are dumped in Kill shelters because people don't bother to train their dogs, then get frustrated and get rid of them, we feel it is the responsible thing to do in rescue and adoption.

Staffies can be very loyal and they like to be with their owners as much as possible, so you will need to have the time to spend with your dog and work to train your dog in between obedience classes. The best adopters would be people who work from home, can take their dog to work, retired, at home moms and people experienced with the Bully breeds.

Mom is a small dog, under 40 lbs, the two largest pups, Charlie will be lean and very athletic. probably in the 40 pound range and would make Perfect agility course dog.  Staffordshires are very loyal and train easily. They have a great need to chew and get bored easily, so keeping you puppy with rotating toys and Deer antlers and lot's of mentally stimulating activity will be important.  Charlie can probably be trained to be with a very dog savvy cat, while he is still young. If he is to be a second dog, it would need to be a female and one who can handle the rough play of a Staffordshire puppy.

If you are experienced with the breed, have the time and commitment to training a pittie and If you are looking for a bully breed (Pitbull) have a look at Charlie, he will be an awesome companion for the right family. Adoption fee is $495.00 w/neutering
